an act of cowardice!

the recent attacks of terror in mumbai has left the whole country seething with anger.
i fail to understand the motives behind such attacks. what do they achieve by targeting innocent civilians? if they are unhappy with the governmental policies and governance in general, let them target them- i mean honestly!
if they think they can tar the image of a country among other countries of the world in terms of not being able to provide security to their citizens- they are absolutely wrong! we have an extremely thick skinned legislature. it does not matter to them one bit what happens to their citizens. all they care is how to woo illiterate and literate idiots during polls, how much money they can swindle and how to derive political mileage from every issue irrespective of its nature!
i feel totally disgusted at the way our legislature behaved in the recent attacks- devoid of any sensitivity, intelligence and shame! [ btw when i say legislature i mean all the MLAs and MPs who make up the lok sabha, thereby implying the ruling, the opposition and every other upstart party worth its salt.]
i mean how much more shameful can it get- the deputy CM of the concerned state rubbishes the act as something very normal-akin to a
regular wear n tear of a machine perhaps!
honestly how do they really care who dies as long as they are alive! would he have had the gumshum to make such a statement had his own mother, wife or child been one among the many who were killed? how would it be if his son/daughter just went out to celebrate their birthday- eating a piece of cake and then falling flat to the ground since a bullet was pumped in free?
i mean it is just so ruthless... how can eateries or places of public entertainment be targeted? what did any of them do to deserve such horrific deaths?
for all this anguish, the perpetrators of such crimes may just be sitting back and having a good laugh- laughing at how every political leader across the globe rattle out the same old rhetoric;at how within our country there is no unity, what with each political party trying to gain a political mileage of it all!
the parties are such are completely unconcerned-people come and go, events come and go- so what?
who is it that suffers? we the people- innocent people who die because our only fault was that we went watched a movie, or a laser show, or to dine out and most importantly because we the people chose a certain set of people to govern us!
the only silver lining- thank god for the nsg commandoes, the army and the police[obviously the field men, not the cosy higher ups in certain departments] who despite being so underpaid and neglected continue to protect us-people they have never seen or heard.
cheers to them!
